Nicaragua

Through a mutual friend in 2006, Pastor Johnson met a young man named Oscar Corea.  Oscar had a passion for sports & winning the lost and had just stepped out to start his own ministry, Sobre Las Alas Del Águila.  Over the next three years, Oscar offered his services to HTF while we were working in Nicaragua.  He served as our guide on sports, youth & medical crusades and several building projects.  Oscar became “family.”

In 2009, God gave Oscar another passion – to feed the children of Nicaragua, both physically and spiritually.  He and his precious wife, Rosibel now supervise a faithful team that feeds over 17,000 children every week.  It is amazing what this team accomplishes with minimal resources.  They are on the lookout for ministry opportunities 24/7.

Another aspect of Oscar’s ministry is youth mentoring.  Through sports, church and his charismatic personality, Oscar attracts young people and influences them to passionately serve the Lord.  When working in Nicaragua on short-term mission trips, our teams are blessed by this hard-working group of young people that serve us unconditionally.

HTF is blessed and honored to partner with Oscar & OEWM to assist with salary, container fees and various construction projects and ministry needs.
